EdChoice Scholarship

Become an EdChoice Provider

Created in 2005, the EdChoice Scholarship Program provides scholarships to students who attend the state’s lowest-rated public schools to be used toward tuition at the participating private school of their choice. The scholarship is worth $4,650 for students in grades K-8 and $6,000 for students in high school. The scholarships are renewable through high school graduation.

See what participating schools are saying…

“The requirements of the EdChoice program are more than reasonable, and at no point in our participation in the program over the past seven years have we regretted or reconsidered our participation. I encourage other private school leaders to embrace the opportunity.”
– Alex Steinman, Harambee Christian School

Become a Provider

Private schools that wish to participate in the EdChoice program must comply with certain requirements, including becoming providers for the Ohio’s Income-Based Scholarship Program, and register using the Ohio Department of Education’s online SAFE account. Requirements, video tutorials and online tools that assist schools through the registration process can be found on the Ohio Department of Education’s website here.
